Eggs

Farm-Fresh Brown Eggs

Our hens forage on Regenerative pastures and are rotated throughout the farm. Freshly gathered eggs are sealed with their natural bloom for maximum freshness. Rich golden yolks are the byproduct of fresh air, sunlight, bugs, and grasses. No GMOs, antibiotics, hormones, or chemical wormers ever!

We offer two ways to purchase eggs from our farm; on a weekly, subscription basis, or as a one-time purchase.

  • What is a "CSA"?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It is a partnership between the farm and its community. You commit for a season of produce in advance. This allows us to calibrate how much produce to grow. Most of the farms costs come at the beginning of the season, securing capital and customers gives us a guaranteed market. In return the farm harvests the "cream of the crop" for its members. The CSA model creates a direct connection between farmers and eaters.
  • Is Gallups Market Garden certified organic?
We do grow organically however we choose not to certify organic with the USDA. Certified organic is not the gold standard it once was. There are several pesticides approved for organic use, but we believe that toxic substances, no matter their origins, should not be applied to our food. We never use pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, or any type of chemical sprays. We grow with only non-GMO and certified organic seed varieties. We prefer to think of our farm as beyond organic!
  • How can I purchase produce from Gallups Market Garden?
We offer two main options; Our produce subscription supplies you with weekly or bi-weekly produce boxes, packed and ready for pickup at the Farm Stand every Friday/Saturday. OR, you may purchase produce à la carte from our Farm Stand.
  • How far in advance is produce picked prior to pickup days?
Every Thursday our produce is harvested, washed, packed, and chilled for Friday/Saturday pickup.
  • Can I customize my subscription box?
When you sign up for our produce subscription, you'll have the option to indicate which items you love and which you'd prefer not to receive. We will do our best to accommodate these preferences.
  • What if I get something in my produce box that I dislike?
The advantage to eating seasonally is having the ability to try fresh new things. There may be an occasion where you receive an item that you are not familiar with. Let us know! We are happy to help with recipes or provide an alternative if available.
  • Will I know what is in my box each week?
Yes, every Thursday we post a picture and list of produce included in that week's box on our Instagram. You can also see our posts here.
  • Is the produce pre-washed?
We triple wash and rinse most all of our produce. However, if something was not washed, we would indicate that.

  • Why Raw Milk?
Raw milk is full of nutritional benefits. It contains much more amino acids, antimicrobials, vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids than pasteurized milk. The pasteurization process kills off the live, healthy bacterias.
